Guess who's back, back ag...yeah you get it

OHHHHHHHHHHHH SHITTTTTTTTTTTTTTT!

Now I know what y'all are probably thinking: "Wait, is this that same dude who tried starting a blog like 4 months ago to try and expand his digital presence but it turned out to be super trash so he gave up and vowed to never write a blog ever again?"And the answer, my beautiful sweet cherry blossoms, is yes, you bet your sweet ass it is. To be completely honest with you, I probably spent a good 8 and a half minutes trying to decide what would be the best way to open this colossal post. I thought of maybe going with MJ's coming-out-of-retirement "I'm back." and just dropping the mic right there and metaphorically walking away but I figured since this is like 438x more monumental than that was, I didn't think that would be enough. So....I went with "Oh shit" but with a lot more h's and t's and also in all caps cause everyone knows shits goin down if somethings written in all caps (Also I'm hoping that little voice in your head that you are using to read this right now screamed at the top of his tiny little lungs when you/he read the "OHHHHHHHHHHH SHITTTTTTTTTTTT!" part). Now I know a lot of you, probably most of you, have been hanging on the edge of your seat, waiting for a Twitter notification to pop up on your phone saying that "@Will_jenkins has tweeted: New blog post, tell your friends. Love you miss you" (and I also know for a flat out fact that the majority of you have post notifications turned on for me and if you don't please please go outside, find your nearest on-coming car, and took a lazy midday stroll right into the front bumper of it, thanks. Also, follow me on Twitter @Will_jenkins) and I'm truly sorry for making you wait so long, but its been busy around here. I just recently got married and had my first kid, Will Jr., and also way more importantly, MLB The Show 16 just came out. Also also, the greatest sport on God's green earth, baseball, just started up again. Also also also, I am 1000% not married and I have 1000% not had a child, and if at any time you believed that, than sorry but you are 1000% the dumbest person to grace this magical kingdom we call the internet, congrats! Anyways, enough about you, lets talk about me some more.
Michael Jordan's announcement that he was coming out of retirement

So yeah, lemme catch you up on a few important things going on in my life as of late. It is confirmed that I am indeed still a certified OG. I know there was some speculation there for a little bit but allow me to clear it up. I have also taken my hand in playing Division 1 college basketball as well (and when I say "playing Division 1 college basketball" I obviously mean I was playing pick-up basketball at the rec center with a bunch of gibronis and 5 guys on our actual basketball team showed up and got next and we played them and yes I was the only white guy on the floor and yes I got super buckets on all of them and yes I'm lying about getting super buckets on all of them.) I have also taken up slow pitch softball to fill the massive void of not playing baseball competitively anymore (S/o the Sausage Squad, a group text I'm in with 9 other dudes who all play either D1 or professional baseball...) and yes, just to confirm, I absolutely dominate at softball as well (It's basically like this Kent Muprhy Dinger Derby video  tbh). To tell you the truth, the entire time I've been writing this, I've been trying to come up with an actual meaningful topic to talk about, or to at least try and talk about, and I'm really blanking tbh. The only things I'm really somewhat knowledgeable about are sports, shoes, and fashion, and God knows no one really cares to read another meaningless blog or article about one of those topics. But hey, I love you all and you all love me, so lets give it a shot.

As mentioned earlier, Opening day of the 2016 Major League Baseball season was a couple days ago. This day can be compared to the likes of Christmas or your birthday, but times it by 15 and add dollar hot dogs and $10 cold beer and subtract awkward encounters with family members you haven't seen in 6 years asking if you've gotten a girlfriend/boyfriend yet (pretty dope, right?). In my honest, humble, completely unbiased opinion, the people who talk bad about the sport of baseball are the people who are not intelligent enough to understand and comprehend baseball, and also the people who hate America and the idea of freedom. It's arguably the most difficult sport in the world (google it, people have done science and shit about it. If you fail 7 out of 10 times, you're probably going to the hall of fame) but at the same time, its the most peaceful sport as well (other than golf probably but for the sake of the argument lets not include golf). A night at the ballpark with a significant other, family, or just a couple of bros I can guarantee will be a night well spent. Whether its the calming whispers of baseball chatter being exchanged between players on the field (probably in Spanish actually so good look understanding), the unbelievably gorgeous sound of a crack of the bat (which was voted the #2 most American sound in the History of our country behind the Star Spangled Banner by the USA Today, go look it up that's straight facts homie) when it comes in contact with a 95mph fastball, or a cool, soft breeze swirling around the ballpark, you will find yourself having a relaxing evening watching a couple dudes from Cuba/Venezuela/Dominican Republic throw a small white ball around and swing a big piece of wood at it.
Globe Life Park, Arlington, TX
The simple thought of it gets me slightly erect, to tell you the truth. Although I cant force you to watch and enjoy baseball, I can try my hardest to make it sound as exciting and appealing as possible (which I probably failed at tbh), and I highly highly recommend getting out to your nearest MLB park and catching a game. Makes for a super sweet date that your lover will enjoy, trust me.

I'm not sure how many of you have actually read this far (and if you have, surprise, I'm still relative trash at writing) but I do indeed love you and miss you. Like I said earlier, I've gotten married and had a kid, Will Jr., so time is pretty limited right now but I will try and write more and more and not wait another 4 months till my next post. I really hope this wasn't a huge let down to you and you aren't super disappointed and hate my guts, but shit does indeed happen and you can't win em all. Quick shoutout to GANG (but in emojis), quick shoutout my beautiful mother and father, my brother, who JUST RECENTLY GOT ACCEPTED INTO A MEDICAL SCHOOL ON GRAND CAYMAN ISLAND OMG WHAT HOW DOPE IS THAT ARE YOU SERIOUS HE IS DESTROYING ME AT BEING THE BEST SON, super quick shoutout to my dog, Duke, who I can personally guarantee is better than any dog you own or have owned or will ever own. Don't forget to follow me on Twitter @Will_jenkins, and always remember that I love you and I miss you and you are beautiful. See you in September, cant wait.

No more monkeying around.......jk (love u miss u)

(Very brief thoughts on the attacks in Paris, France, and other attacks around the world as a bit of an intro)

What's up beautiful people, its me again, your secret lover. A lot has happened in the world since the last time I conversed with you guys. I am currently watching France vs. England in an international friendly soccer match, and the game is being played at Wembley stadium in England, but you wouldn't know it by looking around the stadium. The amount of support and prayer and love the world gives a grieving city or country following a terrorist attack or disaster in general is truly unbelievable, and this soccer match is a perfect example. We as the overall human population embrace the people who were affected by whichever tragedy has occurred during that time, and that really is amazing to me. I myself have never been to Paris, never even thought about going really, but I still feel some sort of connection during this time of grieving. And I think its simply because of the fact that I am indeed a citizen of planet earth, and regardless of what language you speak or what nationality you are, you should not, in any circumstance, have to go through what the people of Paris have had to go through. (This applies to any sort of natural disaster or attack all around the world, not just this tragedy in Paris. I thought that would go without saying but I've seen way too many people on Facebook or twitter attack the general public for only showing support to the people of Paris, and not the people of Mexico, Kenya, Russia, and many other countries). Thought I should address that subject real quick since it has been so relevant, so that's my very brief, very general thoughts on the terror attacks in Paris. I also ask that you continue to keep the people of France as well as the people affected by the other tragedy's around the world in your thoughts and prayers for longer than just a couple of days, seeing as most of us usually forget about what had happened a week after the event, myself included!

Okay, before I dive into any other hot topics of conversation, I want to give a quick shout out to the aforementioned Sausage squad. For all 64 and a half stupid people who for some really stupid reason will read this, I'm sure at least 55 of you will have no idea who or what the sausage squad is. Like I mentioned in my first blog post, I spent my first two years of college playing baseball at a junior college down in Waco, TX (also advised you to never go to Waco if you don't have to, which is ironic because I am indeed road-tripping down to Waco this weekend, but for very good reason) and during my time spent on the baseball field, in class (very rarely), or at the infamous duplexes in China Spring (yeah, I also had never heard of it in my life before I was forced to live there) I made some, as soft as it may sound, truly unbreakable friendships, and naturally a group text emerged with all the coolest cats, and this group text was named (if I recall correctly, by yours truly) The Sausage squad. The squad includes the OG's first and foremost: Myself, Nate Bertness, Jon Tauzin, Will Fox, Brandon Grudzielanek, Jack Finnegan, Kirby Mcguire, and last and in this case also least, Mason George. Then we wisely decided to add two sophomores who are still at Mclennan: Noah Mcgowan and Tucker 'tuck unk unk' Johnson. Promised the fellas id give em a quick shout out so there it is, see you guys this weekend.

Alright, back to stuff you guys can actually possibly relate to. Being as it is my junior year of college, you'd think that I would kind of have somewhat of an idea of what I might want to do with my life, right? All my friends are lining up summer internships, being productive in actually networking and setting up relationships that could possibly benefit them in the future. Good for them, that's awesome, of course. But I, on the other hand, really haven't been doing anything to help secure my future in any way, and to be quite honest, that scares the living shit out of me. I know one things for certain, I want to make a lot of money (you're probably saying "yeah no shit, everyone wants to do that" and you're probably 100% correct). But, right now, my mindset is that I really don't care what it is I do, as long as I'm making lots of money. My mom has constantly told me, ever since I was a young kid, that I better have a job that pays really well when I'm older because I have really expensive taste. And (like she usually is) she is absolutely right. I know people always say that you want to have a job that you love, cause that way you wont work a day in your life. But for me, I think I would rather have a job that I hate, but it pays really well. Then eventually I can build my empire financially and chuck up the deuces on that p.o.s. job and go do something that I actually enjoy, even if it doesn't pay as well.  I dunno, that's just kinda my mindset at the current moment. Who knows tho, I could have a revelation and completely scratch everything I just said and get super hippy and down to earth and work for a nonprofit and make $30,000 a year but absolutely love what I do and not have a care in the world....but I'm pretty confident that wont happen. Hopefully I'm not the only one who is super fucking scared of the future, and I don't think I am, but if I am indeed alone in that feeling, then feel free to call me a whiny baby and absolutely trash myself and everything I believe in because you for sure deserve that right. (P.s. if you do feel like trashing me and everything I believe in try to keep it kinda not that harsh cause like I mentioned in my first blog post I'm pretty sensitive and will probably end up crying so only make me cry a little not like a swimming pools worth of tears but like a little creek you find in your backyards worth except instead of dirty mud water its actually my tears that you produced in a sense. Have fun floating you paper boat down my river of tears you assholes).

If you aren't already, be sure to follow me on twitter @Will_jenkins. I try really hard to be funny on there and I often cook up what I think are pure gold tweets but they usually end up getting like 3 favorites and maybe a retweet if I'm lucky so what do I know. Also, my favorite tweeter in the entire universe (other than myself obviously) hands down is @SheaSerrano. So if you aren't already following him, then I highly suggest doing that as well. Other than that, I really have nothing else for you guys. Hopefully me getting somewhat serious with y'all wasn't a complete turn-off, and y'all will be back for more in the near future. In the mean time, I'm gonna go ball out on FIFA when in reality I should be studying for a test I have on thursday....oops. Until next time, yall be sure to keep it 8 more than 92 with everyone, and stay golden. I love you all, I would more than likely date you all, and I sure as hell miss you all.

P.S. Once again, if you actually read all the way up to this point then wow you are my favorite person on earth also you are beautiful also I'm in love with you surprise. If for some reason you enjoy me writing about stuff then be sure to tell your friends/retweet me/shoot me a note expressing your love for me, don't be shy. Want to shout out my mom real quick cause shes amazing and I love her dearly and cant thank her enough for the support she gives me, shout out MEJ. Also cant forget about MOJ, love you dad sorry I missed you and moms 35th wedding anniversary in Ausitn because I went to get drunk in Oxford, MS. I know I'm a piece of shit son please forgive me I'll take you to the movies some day and make it up to you (and when I say take you to the movies really like I'll just drive your badass BMW convertible sports car but you'll still pay for the tickets and the sodas and the candy anway love you with all my heart). LOVE YOU MISS YOU SEE YOU SOON, peace.

11/10/15: Introduction

Soooooooo let me lay the scene for you real quick. First and foremost, my name is Will Jenkins. Im a student at the University of North Texas majoring in Marketing. I spent my first two years of college playing division 1 JUCO baseball at Mclennan Community College (shoutout the Sausage squad) down in Waco, Texas (Quick side-note: If you're ever thinking about traveling down to Waco, TX for any reason at all, I strongly advise against it. Just a real bummer of a place overall). Anyways yeah, retired college athlete, current marketing student, decided to make a blog becasue im desperate for attention and even more desperate for more twitter followers (follow me on twitter @Will_Jenkins) and tbh I have an unreal amount of free time so I figured this would be a good way to kill some of that. I promise Ill get funnier the more you read and I guarantee you will think im hilarious and more than likely the coolest dude ever and if you dont guess what I hate you and gtfo.

Reading lengthy text passages like actual books (Seriously, who is still reading 500 page paperbacks? Just wait a couple years, I promise if its a good enough book or series of books, it will be made into a TV show or possibly even a movie) or super detailed, thought out articles is super lame now-a-days. Lets face it, its 2015. The new wave is obviously memes and gifs. The only reading you can catch me doing on a daily basis is the mostly fire tweets on my TL, fantasy football analysis on anyone in my lineup that has a "Q" by their name for that week ("Q" meaning questionable meaning they might not play), and the unbelievably long text messages I get from my mom on a daily basis telling me to get a job and stop spending so much of her money etc. etc. etc. I do realize me starting this blog is incredibly ironic because it definitely is a super thought out, detailed set of text passages containing absolute nonsense that probably has nothing to do with you whatsoever. BUT, hopefully you'll ignore everything I just said and read it anyways.

Being that this is in fact my first blog post in the history of my existence, I think we can all agree that my experience in writing in these types of formats is pretty minimal to say the least. The only actual writing experience I have is in school. And not even like actual credible school as in college (took all my English/literature credits in high school) but like school as in middle school, and high school. So hopefully this is somewhat bearable to read. I'm passionate about many different things, and they're all on a very wide scale. Everything from any and all sports to fashion, sneakers, music, social media, cavalier king charles spaniels, FIFA '16, and probably a lot more I left off, but you get the jist. TBH I am now realizing how lame of a first post this is but i really just wanted to give you guys the lay of the land before I get probably wayyyyy too comfortable and start to write some super personal/super weird things about myself yall probably never wanted to read but either way were gonna have a good time.

I have absolutely no idea how often Ill post on this thing but like I said earlier, I pretty much spend most of my time doing absolutely nothing productive. A regular day in the life of Chilly Willy Snowflake will generally go like this: Ill wake up, go to class, come home, think about doing homework, not actually do homework, then turn on my PS4 and start playing fifa. Go to sleep around 1:30-2:00, then wake up the next day and do it all over again. Sooooooooo if I can find time to vent to the internet somewhere in that incredibly tight schedule, then this blog will be hotter than hotline bling memes. If you have actually read up to this point then honestly super major shoutouts to you and also im in love with you and also I think you're beautiful. I promise the next post will be way more entertaining and raunchy and maybe even include some cuss words like fuck or ass or shit (sorry mom idk if youre reading this but if you are please forgive me love you miss you) but  thatll for sure be a game time decision. Follow me on twitter @Will_Jenkins to not only experience the greatest retweeter of all time (myself) but also to be updated on new blog posts and other cool stuff. Until then, keep it real love you all.

P.S. like I said earlier im really just doing this for shits and gigs so if you think its trash 1) youre probably absolutely fucking right and 2) try to keep it to yourself because im very sensitive and will take the trash talk straight to the heart and will probably not leave my house for a week and nobody wants that BUTTTTTTT if you for some very stupid odd reason think its somewhat decent then feel free to let me know cause im very emotional and i will probably cry tears of joy and give you all my money so thanks again, love you miss you see you soon. Peace
